AoD reference on tv

For some reason, I caught the CBS show "Two A A Half Men" with Charlie Sheen and John Cryer. John's character was sleep-walking and Charlie's character put him back to bed. As John's character entered his bedroom he said "Klattu verata nektu" (or however you spell it....).

That's originally from "The Day the Earth Stood Still..."
    www.imdb.com/title/tt0043456/

Gort walks back onto the spaceship with Klaatu in his arms and lays him to rest.

And it's spelled, "Klaatu verata Necktie" (teehee)

        Yeah... definitely.

I gots myself corrected sometime ago about the correct origins of the "Klataau" line -- oops! -- I've wanted to see the film since. I think the robot's name -- I was told -- was this Klataau and the other words were commands... or that Klataau was the first word in the chain of words that made up a command.

Ghesh, DOS was much easier... Which RoboCop booted off of. I guess they wanted something dependable. I can just see it...

"Halt, criminal! Drop the weapon and contraband dehydrated cat. You have three secconds to comply before I shoot. 3... 2... (blue screen)."

Yeah, RoboCop would have been better built if based on Linux... but then everyone would be contributing to him, and he would have been easy to bribe.
