Ok so I know this is a bit late, but tonight is the last night of the double feature of these two films at The New Beverly Cinema in West Hollywood, Ca. Bubba HoTep goes on at 7:30. It's 6 dollars to get in. Should be pretty cool. So for anyone of you in the L.A. area, you should really come to this.

Re: Bubba HoTep and Evil Dead2 Double Feature
Tue, February 17, 2004 - 8:11 PMYeah, me too. I think I'll have to drive about 250 miles to go see it in the town where I have some relatives and know a few people that might want to go, maybe, doubtful...
If I can't get anyone to go with me, I could always go myself. I've actually been to the theater once where it will be playing, but actually get there from where I'm staying is another thing. LOL!
I'll see what happens... If not, I can always wait for it to be released on DVD.

Sun, February 22, 2004 - 4:00 PMBubba ho-tep, albiet a Bruce campbell vehicle, is only "fun" and "charming" at best.
I'm still jealous you only have to drop 7 bucks to see it in a double-feature.

Re: Bubba HoTep and Evil Dead2 Double Feature
Tue, March 9, 2004 - 9:03 PMOK, this is going to kinda suck as an addition to this thread, but I guess if you use your imagination...
I'm a fan of both ED flicks and AOD. From them I've become a BCampbell fan (anyone know how to contact him -- I'd like to ask permission to use some samples from ED2 & AOD on my album) through these films.
I missed much of the beginning of Bubba HoTep because I was busting up saying lines (mostly from but necessarily limited to) from AOD in a Rocky Horror fashion (became a problem with all films since doing a 3+ year stint on the local cast -- not the worst of my habits).
I realize(d) that this thread is a HoTep/ED2 thread, but did anyone else notice spots where you can drop in AOD lines, or see some parallels with the films?
I want the full collection of HoTep goods -- the book, the sound track, and the DVD. Is that too much to ask? I'll stop asking for that pony for Xmas and BDays (been asking for the better part of 30 years for cryin' out loud!).

Bubba HoTep DVD?
Sun, May 2, 2004 - 6:43 PMAnyone heard anything about the film making it to an after theatre-market purchasable version?
I've heard that this could be a challenge and may not happen -- anyone know different? I even heard that the film didn't make it to the east coast (USA) -- but then you can't believe everything you hear. -

Re: Bubba HoTep DVD?
Sun, May 2, 2004 - 6:46 PMUmmmmm, I KNOW for a fact that it's been playing all up and down the east coast... Wherever you heard that, I would not listen to them anymore.
As for the DVD, I'm sure it'll happen. Check Bruce's site for more info I guess...
